ACTIVE YOUTH CITIZENSHIP PROGRAMME
"RED SHIRTS"

This exciting programme, "RED SHIRTS" offers 14-18 year olds from the
Greater Shantallow area the opportunity to participate in a wide range of
citizenship training activities, culminating in the Amelia Earhart Festival
were the participants have the opportunity to put into practice the skills
they have accomplished!
The citizenship training activities will include Team building
exercises/group discussions entitled "Know Your Friends", Health and Safety
Training, Citizenship discussions, Respect Your Space, How to be Young,
Alcohol & Drugs Awareness, Self Harm & Suicide awareness.  The participants
also have the opportunity to take part in the Wall City Carnival Parade,
Picnic in the Park, Gasyard Feile Programme and much more.

Above all this programme offers an enormous opportunity for fun and
enjoyment this summer for teenagers from the Greater Shantallow area as they
join in a celebration of community life and aspire to play a full and active
role in making their communities a better place for all to enjoy this
summer.
